History

The Applied Climatology Research Group started its activities in 2017 with the aim of studying the various relationships between climate and the earth’s surface, especially natural forests, agriculture and urban environments.

Our research is based on information from different data sources, such as field measurements of agrometeorological variables, surface stations, remote sensing, censuses and computer models. The results of our research have a regional and national scope and impact, which is relevant for the formulation of public policies and sustainable development.

Our researchers receive assistance from different funding institutions, such as CNPq, CAPES and Fapemig.
